My first loves - the first was the drum set and the second was synthesis. For decades I’ve been immersed in every type of synthesis imaginable except for Modular. Somehow, in all of the efforts for Ensoniq, Korg and Spectrasonics, I managed to miss this one area of discipline.

A few years ago that I dove into a “Make Noise Shared System.” Immediately addicted to it’s wild ways and constant happy accidents, I recorded hours and hours of creations - none of which can be recreated - that’s the nature of it. I put up 16 of my favorite stereo performances - one under each fader, and proceeded to make “passes” of a live mix - spontaneous and different every time.

I invited Abe Laboriel Jr. to interpret the crazy audio notions from his powerful drum set. A few hours later, tracks arrived and the delicious instrumental result is now available to your ears. Basically, this is chocolate and peanut butter in a jar of insanity!
